Welcome to my official website! I am Dr. Brant Pitre, Distinguished Research Professor of Scripture at The Augustine Institute, and I received my Ph.D. in New Testament and ancient Judaism from the University of Notre Dame, Indiana.  Since then I have spent my time teaching, writing, and giving lectures on the Bible and on the Jewish roots of Christianity.  I am the author of Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary (Image, 2018), Jesus and the Jewish Roots of the Eucharist (Doubleday, 2011), Jesus the Bridegroom: The Greatest Love Story Ever Told (Image, 2014), Jesus and the Last Supper (Eerdmans, 2015), The Case for Jesus (Image, 2016) and co-author with John Bergsma of A Catholic Introduction to the Bible: The Old Testament (Ignatius 2018). Additionally, I am the author of several CD and DVD Bible Studies, exploring the Jewish roots of Scripture and the Catholic Faith.
